The Erica Hotel Motel has stood as the town’s meeting point in one form or another for over a century. The original timber building opened in 1915, back when steam trains ran through town and the mill was booming. After a fire destroyed the pub in the early 1980s, locals helped rebuild it bigger, stronger and ready for the next chapter. That’s the kind of town Erica is.
We’ve kept the stories, the saw blades on the walls, and the same no-nonsense attitude to cold beer and great food. You can feel the history when you walk in, but there’s nothing dusty about it.
Cook your steak, lamb, pork or veg just the way you like it - on a sizzling volcanic stone, brought to your table. This is hands-on, high-heat cooking that turns dinner into an experience. Our hot rocks are legendary across Gippsland, and once you've tried them, you’ll know why.
Breathe in the fresh country air, catch up with mates and bring your family to the place where you are welcomed by your publicans and invited to enjoy our rustic, family friendly, country pub charm. While you’re here, be sure to check out our legendary Bushman’s Museum, complete with a chainsaw made from wood.
Book out the bistro for a birthday, reunion, fundraiser or end-of-season party. Group meal packages, bar options and accommodation available. Long tables, good food and a no-fuss setup that works.
Six clean, quiet rooms conveniently located right here at the pub. Each has a private ensuite, split system air conditioning, TV, fridge, toaster, tea and coffee. Ideal for couples, solo, and business travellers, and the perfect spot for an overnight, midweek, or weekend retreat.
While Mick’s cooking up a storm with the kitchen team, Katie keeps the place humming with the amazing bar team. Together, they’ve created a cozy space with rustic charm where people from all walks of life feel right at home. A charming blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort. Erica Hotel Motel.

Had the Eye Fillet on the Hot rock, wow, amazing being able to cook your own steak the way you like it.
The nachos were great as well and the beer was cold.
Back again, Pippa J was performing the night we were there, she was great, loved it and funnily enough ate the exact same meal as before and it was just as good.

Do yourself a favour and stop in!
Look, I’m not usually the type to leave reviews unless it’s a full-blown disaster or something absolutely legendary. And mate, the Erica Pub is off tap
We’ve been a couple of times now, and every visit just confirms it this place bloody delivers. The food? Second to none. They serve up steaks on sizzling hot rocks that cook right in front of you. I don’t know where they get their meat from could be dinosaur for all I care it’s that damn good. You hear that sizzle and smell that steak?
The vibe inside? Pure old-school Aussie pub. Chainsaws hanging from the ceiling, classic memorabilia on every wall, and that warm, welcoming feel that’s getting harder to find these days. It’s like stepping into a time machine but one that hands you a cold beer and a cracking meal.
And let’s talk about the staff absolute legends. Friendly, down to earth, and always up for a laugh. You feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time in.
We drive over an hour just to eat here. That should tell you everything. If you’re cruising past and don’t stop in, well… that’s just un-Australian and rude.
